Life Drawings using pastels

I aimed to create contrast within the piece by trying different applications of pastel, to achieve different qualities of line and varying levels of smoothness. For the piece on the right, I initially intended to just use orange pastel, but after an accidental purple smudge, I decided to use a few darker colours to add areas of stark contrast in order to create more depth. I am quite satisfied with the outcome as I feel those dark accents really enhance the composition.
